This is a vintage ceramic tea caddy or tea canister made by Sadler, England between 1937-1947 in the Indian Tree or Indian Peony pattern.

The tea caddy measures 5.25 inches high by 4.5 in diameter.  The vintage Sadler tea canister or ginger jar is very good +++ condition with no chips and cracks but does have crazing commensurate with age which is normal for Sadler at this time.

The tea caddy, jar or canister is a very decorative addition to kitchen or desk and could be used for a lot of things beside teabags, and in many different rooms.

We have 2 very similar, but with 2 different dates and slighlt different sizes...see last photo. This is the slightly older and smaller one.
