This is a vintage English tea caddy or tea canister made in the 1970s by Hackney, England for Twinings Tea with paintings by John Constable 1776-1837.

The blue and gold ceramic tea caddy measures 5.5 inches high by 5.5 inches in diameter and has reproductions of paintings Salisbury Cathedral, Dedham Mill and Boat Building Near Flatford Mill. The tea caddy is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks or wear.  

The tea caddy, jar or canister is a very decorative addition to kitchen or desk and could be used for a lot of things beside teabags, and in many different rooms.
