This is a commemorative large plate or charger of the US Frigate Constitution, the famous sailing ship, known as Old Ironsides, was launched in 1797.

The 10.25 inch in diameter embossed ironstone plate was made by Deland Studios, USA in the 1970s, close to the ship's centennial.

The design is in black transferware of the ship at sea in full sail.

The plate is in very good +++ used vintage condition with no chips or cracks and only 1 scratch on the design.
