Cake Plate Chelsea Grape Grandmothers Copper Luster Ironstone 1830-1880s
SKU:
This is an antique lugged cake serving plate or platter made in Staffordshire, England by one of several manufacturers between 1830-1880 in the Chelsea Grape or Grandmother's pattern with embossed swags and blue grape sprigs highlighted with copper luster.
The blue and white sprigged ironstone serving plate measures 9 inches high by 10 inches across the lug handles.
The cake plate or platter is in very good +++ used vintage condition with no chips or cracks. There is a bit of mineral deposits or kiln dust from the manufacturing process which is perfectly normal for the date of manufacture.
A wonderful victorian survival and very collectible. I just love the blue and white and luster!
