Aesthetic Movement Plate Flow Blue Ocean Scenes Blue Transferware 1890s Seashells 10.5
This is a gorgeous antique flow blue transferware plate or charger in the Aesthetic Movement or English Arts and Crafts design of Ocean Scenes made by Bates and Bennett, England between 1891-1895 during the late Victorian era.
The plate measures 10.5 inches in diameter and features a vignette of a sailing ship with shells and sea weed and other ocean motifs.
The plate is in in very good +++ used vintage condition with no chips or cracks and barely any sign of use at all.
A wonderful example of Aesthetic Movement or English Arts and Crafts design, which is one of my most favorite design periods.
