Yellow Embroidered Tablecloth 1960s Tea Cloth Bridge Cloth Table Cloth As Is
This is a vintage English embroidered tablecloth, tea cloth or bridge cloth made from the 1960s, in a not perfect condition.
The design of the pretty table cloth features yellow and blue running stitch and a shiny gold chain stitch machine embroidered stylized mid century flowers on a pale yellow textured metis cloth, almost a soft barkcloth, with a one tone darker yellowish border around the entire 32 inch square tea cloth. The darker yellow border is 2.75 inches wide.
The tea cloth is in less than perfect used vintage condition with no holes or repairs, but there is 1 pale brownish circle stain about the size of a pencil eraser.
The stitching is missing in one of the floral corner designs...which I didn't even notice for a while. It another place one of the chain stitch leaves is a but furred...don't know what else to call it...as if some of the stitches had been brushed.
But a very decorative tea cloth or topper none the less, or you might have some other ideas for use.
