Wedgwood Biscuit Barrel Cookie Jar Wedgwood Jasperware Dip 1880s Bun Feet
This is a late Victorian era Wedgwood, England jasper or jasperware dip biscuit barrel or cookie jar in dark blue with an applied white jasperward classical figures design and a glazed white interior with silver plated fittings.
The biscuit or cookie jar measures 6 inches high by 5 inches in diameter and has silver plate EPNS fittings, lid, bottom frame and 3 bun feet.
The biscuit jar or barrel has the applied white jasper classical motif of Sacrifice Figures by Elizabeth Templetown and is impressed WEDGWOOD on the bottom and was made between 1870-1891.
The biscuit barrel or cookie jar is in very good +++ used vintage condition with no chips or cracks. The only flaw is in tiny spot on the lid that is corroded or discolored, and some further discoloring on the top edge of the silver base.
It is a fabulous antique late Victorian piece of typical Wedgwood superior workmanship.
