Victorian Era Tin Nutmeg Grater Coffin Shape Gold Washed UK 1890s Punched Tin
This is an antique late Victorian or Edwardian punched tin antique nutmeg grater made in the UK 1890-1910s.
The nutmeg grater is a coffin shape with a hinged lid to the storage compartment, a hanging hole at the top and most of the gold wash on the tin and most probably is hand made.
The nutmeg grater measures 6.25 inches long by 2.5 inches wide at top by 1.25 inches deep and is in very good +++ used vintage condition with a good, tight lid hinge and only a few scratches to the gold wash coating.
There is evidence of hammering around the lid edge and hand soldering of the lid. This antique kitchen gadget grater is a great bit of rustic, primitive kitchenalia.
