Teapot Art Deco Cottage Artist Signed 1932 Orange Trees Hand Painted TLC
This is an English art deco design hand painted teapot signed by the artist J. Hanson, England and dated 1932 with a cottage landscape with trees and the predominating colors of orange, yellow and black that was probably influenced by Clarice Cliff.
I believe the teapot was purchased as a white blank and then decorated by an artist, so it is truly OOAK, or One Of A Kind.
The teapot 5 inches high by 8.5 inches long by 5.5 inches in diameter, is design number 541 and has a novel notch and tab locking lid.
The artist signed teapot is in very good ++ used vintage condition with no chips or cracks but at sometime something was spilled on the teapot back by the handle which has removed some of the outer finish and design as seen in the photo... hence the TLC needed.
A great piece of art deco design in bright art deco colors.
