This is a vintage large tea tin, tea canister or tea caddy with a an attractive design of mauve and yellow floral vignettes with a brown background and embossed brass plating.  

The embossed tea tin or tea caddy was made in Brazil for Meister, a German firm, in the 1950s. 

The tea caddy is a tapering cylinder, and measures 5 inches high by 6 inches in diameter at the base, and has a friction fit lid with a brown plastic lid finial.

The tea tin is in very good +++ used vintage condition with a few minor discolorations on the lid.

The interior is in very good +++ used vintage condition with some minor discolorations and signs of use, and is a bit scented, as if pot pourri was stored inside at one time.  Maybe a Jasmine tea?

I love these decorative tea caddy tins and they are difficult to find now.
