Tea Cup And Saucer Fall Paisley Chintz 1950s Vintage Royal Standard Rust Autumn
SKU:
This is a gorgeous vintage autumn hued paisley cup and saucer from Royal Standard, England with a fabulous paisley chintz pattern made between 1956 and 1966 when the pottery closed.
The pretty tea cup and saucer and has a rust, orange and brown paisley on white bone china and gold trim.
The pedestal and slightly paneled cup measures 3 inches high and the saucer is 6 inches in diameter.
Royal Winton, Wade, Shelley and Royal Albert potteries made the exact same pattern at the same time, as the pattern is a transfer available from one of several transfer pattern makers used by the potteries from the 1920s though the 1970s with newer ones operating today.
The pretty cup and saucer is in very good +++ used vintage condition with no chips, cracks or gold wear. There are a couple of extremely small flaws made in the application of the transfer pattern, but nothing of any note.
Really a neat, decorative and collectible pattern, and who doesn't love chintz.
