This is a Sylvac or SyvaCeramics, England toby jug or character jug of the Dickens' character Sam Weller from the Pickwick Papers from the 1950s. 

The pitcher or toby jug measures 3.35 inches high by 4.5 inches across and is hand painted ceramic with outstanding workmanship.

Sylvac was a division of Shaw & Copestake, a respected pottery in Stoke On Trent, England.

The jug is in very good +++ used vintage condition with no chips, cracks or wear. Cool!
