This is a Thorley, England bone china paperweight or decorative vanity ornament that is a hand made bouquet of flowers on a bone china swan.

It is rare to find older pieces in such good condition with no chips! The elegant swan measures 3.5 inches high by 4.5 inches long and 3 inches wide.

This bone china swan and flower ornament or paperweight was made in the 1950s and features a deep pink rose, a yellow rose, and a pink and blue purple flower like poppies or primroses with green leaves.

 We watched craftsman making these at the factory workrooms in Stoke On Trent and were amazed at the skill and time it took to make each part of these arrangements by hand from a lump of clay. The factories are closed now and it is indeed a dying art! Beautiful!
