Sadler Fancy Brown Betty Teapot Green Toile Band 1960s England 6 Cups Greek Scene
This is a wonderful vintage Sadler, English mottled dark brown Brown Betty pottery teapot with a high glaze finish and green band with gold beaded border depicting a toile scene in a Greek or classical style from the 1960s, made in England.
The brown mottled high glaze teapot measures 6 inches high by 9 inches long by 6 in diameter and holds 6 medium cups of tea.
The green toile design has Greek gods in a landscape with temples and lyres.
The tea pot is in very good +++ used vintage condition with no cracks or even crazing, and the interior is clean an unstained. There is one tiny manufacturing glaze miss dimple just below the rim as seen in the photos, and the tiniest gilding chip on the tip of the spout, which I only saw when I photographed the teapot, but I am being picky.
I love Sadler teapots in any form, but this is just lovely
