Rosenthal Versailles 5 Salad Plates Edwardian Botanlical Plates 1910s Victorian
This is a set of five late Victorian or Edwardian era 8 inch in diameter salad plates made by Rosenthal, Bavaria Germany in the Versailles pattern.
The ruffled edge fine porcelain plates have a design of botanical prints of Tulips with additional roses and other flowers with remnants of brushed gold trim.
The pretty floral plates were made in the 1891 and 1906, as the mark indicates.
The fine porcelain plates are all in very good +++ used vintage condition with no chips, cracks only signs of gold and pattern wear and minor design flaws made during manufacturing when the designs were applied to the plates. There is some crazing on one of the plates.
The Versailles pattern coordinates beautifully with the Malmaison pattern which was made at the same time and has a very similar design with these same Tulips.
Such decorative plates to add a vintage touch to any tea table.
