This is a fancy nickel plated steel antique nutcracker or nut cracker with 3 matching nut picks with a cobbled and smooth ditch barber pole design made in the USA 1920-1930s by HMQ, Henry M. Quackenbush.
The nutcracker measures 5 inches long and the nut picks are 4.75 inches long.
In our house growing up on the Pacific Coast, nutcrackers were more often than not used as crab crackers...it would work equally well for several practical thinks around the kitchen, dining or living rooms.
