Pomander English Village Scene Sachet Pot Pourri Closet Drawer Scent 1950s
SKU:
This is a very pretty cream color ceramic pomander, sachet or pot pourri holder from England with the original foil label, by Sallie Robinson, England in the 1950-1960s with a lovely design of an English village street.
The pomander measures 2.25 inches in diameter by 2.25 inches high and has it's original gold hanging cord and even some pot pourri inside.
The pomander is in very good +++ used vintage condition with no chips, cracks or wear and only minor crazing, which is normal for this material and age.
Pomanders were developed in the 1500s to scent rooms, clothing, bedding and closets and to scent a room to disguise the medieval smells of no drains.
