This is a 6.5 inch in diameter cake, salad or side plate with a design of hand painted forget me nots and burnished gold trim made in Japan in the 1930s.

The plate was either hand decorated in Japan, or purchased as a white "blank" and painted in the US or England by a cottage artist...a popular pastime by genteel ladies.

The pretty porcelain plate is in excellent used vintage condition with no chips, cracks or wear.

A lovely addition to a tea table as a lemon plate or for cake or dessert.
