Panelled Floral Tea Caddy Tea Tin Octagonal 1950s Blue Yellow Green Canister
This is a 1950s floral octagonal tea tin, tea caddy or tea canister made in Belgium an unknown maker in England to decorate. Daher comes to mind, but it is not marked for them
The tea tin or tea caddy or tea canister measures 6 inches high by 5 inches across with a friction fit lid and applied strap handle on the lid.
The design features a alternating panels of blue, yellow and green florals on a brass plated background.
The interior is in excellent used vintage condition but the exterior shows general fading I think, as well as signs of use like mild scuffs and scratches. The most wear is to the lid strap finial and lid edges and inside the lid.
I don't know what it was originally used for, but it's an outstanding tea tin! The tea tin is very decorative as well as useful. A great kitchen accent.
