This is a striking vintage set f 4 Empire Ware, England square side plates in an English pub design with a bold orange border and black trim made in the 1940s.

The side plates measures 6 inches square with rounded edges.

The design has an English village street and pub scene, with 3 of the plates having the pub facing right and one plate with the pub facing to the left.

The set of plates are in very good ++ condition with no chips or cracks but there a couple of minor flaws to the orange border as seen in the photos, but they do not detract from this dramatic plate, and a bit of normal crazing due to age and material.

A wonderful vintage pop of color, or nostalgic glimpse of village life.
