This is a ceramic Occupied Japan figurine of a Georgian, French or 18th century man who is possible a flower seller... with a flower basket and gold trim. 

The Occupied Japan mark indicates the figurine was made in Japan during the occupation period from 1945-1952.

The colonial man figurine is is 6.25 inches high and was hand painted with no chips, cracks or gold wear. Neat!
