This vintage chrome shovel shaped tea caddy spoon or tea leaf scoop has an applied enamel shield finial for Jersey, England, an island off the southwest coast of England.
The tea caddy spoon was made in the 1930s, measures 3 inches long and is in excellent condition.
Tea caddy spoons were used to spoon precious loose tea from the various tea caddies and jars. They were especially popular in the Victorian era and were small so as to be locked inside the caddy with the precious and expensive tea.
