Ivory Chintz Teapot Stand Trivet 1920s Flowers Birds Black Crown Ducal Gold Trim
This is an elegant art deco floral, birds and black bands chintz oval teapot stand or trivet from 1918-1938 in the Ivory Chintz pattern made Crown Ducal, England with gold trim.
The vintage tea pot table protecting trivet or teapot stand is 1.5 inches high by 6.5 inches long by 5.25 inches wide.
The Ivory Chintz teapot trivet is in very good +++ condition with no chips or cracks, and only the most minor signs of gold wear and very mild discoloring at the bottom due to the fay content of the cream, normal for this material and age .
The pattern, which is pattern number A500, was Crown Ducal's first chintz pattern and debuted in 1918, and is not often seen.
The next version, Ivory Chintz added the black band and was pattern number A559. In 1929, the pattern was adapted with roses around the black border and that version was named Roseland, and they perfectly complement each other.
We have a number of items in both patterns.
