Handmade Patchwork Table Runner Blue White Brown Squares Toothed Edge Unfinished
This is a wonderful hand made patchwork table runner made ... and nearly finished... by an artisan around 2000..
The runner has squares of 3 patterned fabrics in blue, brown and white on white set so the edges are toothed. The runner is light padded with a plain unbleached muslin backing.
The final finishing opening has not been stitched shut after the patchwork runner was turned from the inside to outside after sewing, as shown in the photo. A simples hem will finish that nicely.
The patchwork table runner or centerpiece measures 28 inches long by 14 inches wide which is why I have been unable to photograph it full length, although nearly so with just the last bits hanging over my table edge.
The handmade runner is in very good ++ used vintage condition with no holes, repairs or stains. As not completely finished, it was probably never used.
The table runner dates is a striking and decorative accent to any table ot tea time and a testament to someone's skill.
