Fancy Cup And Saucer Japanese Luster Hibiscus August 1950s Hand Painted
This is a beautiful vintage luster or iridescent finish cup and saucer with a fancy hand painted design of Hibiscus flowers for the month of August made in Japan by TMJ in the 1950s.
The fine porcelain cup is 2.75 inches high, and the saucer is 5.75 in diameter.
The design is a gorgeous hand painted and colorful pink Hibiscus plant inside and out with a luster or iridescent finish and brush gold trim. The words Hibiscus and August are in gold on the saucer.
There is a remnant of the original sticker on the bottom which says Dupreme Quality TMJ Japan.
The dramatic cup and saucer are in excellent used vintage condition with no chips, cracks or wear.
The luster finish is so pretty and this is such an absolutely beautiful botanical as well a August floral design.
Perfect for tea in the garden!
