English Open Salts Cobalt Blue Glass Liners Silver Plate Set Of Four Art Deco 1920-1930s
SKU:
This is a beautiful set of 4 salt dips, open salt dishes or salt cellars made in England the 1920-1930s.
The neat art deco era individual salts measure 1.5 inch in diameter at the top, just under 2 inches in diameter at the flared bottom and 1.5 inches high.
Although bought as a set in England, two are slightly different in the engraved line decoration placement and there are different makers marks: on two of them is EPandN A1 Sheffield.
The A1 was used to designate a superior plating process; on one is Hornison EPandS Sheffield; and the 4th is marked Primus IEandSS.
Three of the cobalt liners are in very good condition and the 4th has a bit of chipping to the rim.
A very stylish set in very good ++ used vintage condition.
