This is a Simpson's Ltd, England embossed lattice or basket weave cup and saucer with a grape leaf garland inside the cup made by in a pattern called Marlborough.  

The cup is 2.75 inches high, the saucer is 5.75 in diameter and the cup and saucer was made in the 1940-1950s.

The cup and saucer are in excellent, mint condition with no chips, cracks or wear. A versatile pattern for the tea table.
