Coalport Bone China Paperweight Staffordshire Posy Anemone Bowl Hand Made 1950s
This is a hand made Coalport, England bone china Staffordshire posy flower bowl ornament or paperweight made up of what I think are pink, blue, yellow and lavender Anemones or Hellebores with green leaves in a white bowl.
The floral ornament or paperweight made in the 1950s. The Staffordshire Posy measures 2.25 inches high by 3 inches in diameter.
We watched craftsman making these at the factory workrooms in Stoke On Trent and were amazed at the skill and time it took to make each part of these arrangements by hand from a lump of clay.
The workrooms have mostly all closed now and this is a dying art. Beautiful!
The Staffordshire posy paperweight is in excellent used vintage condition with no chips, cracks or restorations to the flowers which is rare.
The white lines visible in the photos are light strikes on the glossy glaze, and there is no damage. These are perfect decor accents for your tea table.
