This is a vintage 1930s Swan, England chrome plated teapot with Bakelite handle and thumb knob made in the 1930-1940s in the early version of their Wikka Ware.

The teapot has a basketweave bottom which gives the line it's name, but the mark on this teapot shows it is the early version as Wikka Ware was added to the mark in the late 1940s.

The teapot measures 5 inches high by 6.5 inches long by 5 inches in diameter and holds 3,  8 oz cups.

The teapot is in very good ++ condition with no dents and so minor scratches and plate wear on the base rim.

There is a very small dent in the Bakelite thumb rest where it contacts the handle from years of use. The inside is in very good +++ used vintage condition.
