This is an antique English butter chip, butter pat or small butter plate made in 1890-1910.

The ironstone butter pat measures 3 inches in diameter and is made of scalloped and molded ironstone with a branch of roses transferware pattern with gold trim.

The butter pat is in excellent used vintage condition with no chips, cracks or gold wear.

The butter pat, makes a wonderful teabag caddy, sushi or sauce dish now.
