Butter Pat Ventnor Polychrome Transferware 1892 Boote Antique UK
This is a polychrome transfer or transferware butter chip or butter pat made by T & R Boote, England from 1892-1906 in the pattern Ventnor.
The butter pat measures 3 inches in diameter and is made of semi porcelain, or ironstone.
The butter pat, which makes a wonderful teabag caddy now, has a brown floral transfer border design with hand colored accents.
The butter pat is in very good ++ used vintage condition with no chips, cracks or gold wear but does have visible crazing and discoloring from the oil in the butter.
