Brass Tipping Tea Kettle Spirit Kettle Oak Leaves Acorns Bakelite 1900 Teapot

English vintage

SKU:
  • $ 000

This is a late Victorian to Edwardian era ornate brass tipping tea kettle or spirit kettle with stand made in England, probably by Souter or another Birmingham UK brass forge 1890-1910.

The kettle in the stand overall measures 12.5 inches high.

The caddy which the pegs each side of the kettle rest in, is 7 inches high by 7 inches long by 7.75 inches deep from foot tip to foot tip with a circle to support a spirit burner to keep it warm.

The kettle measures 8.75 inches to the top of the handle, and is 6 inches high to the top of the kettle by 9 inches long by 6 inches wide.

The tea kettle has a repousse oak leaves and acorn design and a Bakelite handle.

The kettle is in original used antique condition, I wouldn't dare remove the original patina! I am pretty sure the lid was replaced at some time. Although decorative, it doesn't match and doesn't fit as well as it shpuld.

A great find!
