Coronation Mug Queen Elizabeth II Johnson Bros Ironstone 1953 Royal Commemorative
This is a Johnson Brothers, England ironstone mug made for the coronation in 1953 of Queen Elizabeth II.
The mug measures 3.75 inches high and has a great colorful design of the Queen's profile, royal symbols and the Queen's cipher on the back.
The design was one of the approved designs for the coronation, and this is a great rendering of the design.
Johnson Brothers produced the mug in cooperation with the Federation Of British Pottery Manufacturers Federation.
The mug is in excellent used vintage condition with no chips or cracks. There is a bit of crazing consistent with the ironstone glaze used at the time.
A great and very decorative coronation souvenir by a wonderful manufacturer.
