This is a 1970s 10kt yellow gold filigree or lacy ladies ring containing a beautiful oval faceted genuine natural Ruby.

 The oval  Ruby weighs approximately 1.25 carat, measuring 8 mm by 6 mm.

The 10kt gold mounting is a fancy bright cut filigree setting.  The ring is marked and tested 10k gold.

The ring was made in the 1970s in the USA and has a maker's mark I can't read unfortunately.

The pretty red Ruby ring is a size 5 but can be easily sized by any jeweler. A very pretty and feminine ring.

The Ruby is the birthstone for July and also a traditional symbol for everlasting, passionate love.

Rubies are also associated with Valentine's Day and in England and Europe are often used as traditional engagement rings.
