This is a vintage carved wood box from the 1930s, carved in high relief on the top and front, with more shallow chip carving on the back and sides that would be an excellent tea caddy or jewelry box.

The box has a fancy brass closure that could be locked.

The decorative wooden box has dovetail joints and all four sides are carved with scenes of people, houses, trees and plants.

The bottom has bracket feet and beveled.

The hardware of hinges and lock plate and stamped brass hasp are brass.

The nicely carved vintage brass box measures 3 inches high by 5.75 inches long by 3.75 inches wide.
