This is a fabulous hand knitted red Roses bouquet tea cozy with an avocado green base.

The hand made artisan knitted tea cozy or tea cosy is made in a stockingette pattern...I think... with pretty knitted 3 dimensional 7 red roses... and one partial pink rose which make up the separate top of the cozy which sits on the top of the teapot.

The wonderful 2 piece tea cosy was made by a local artisan here in the US.

The large tea cozy, which fits a 6 cup teapot, measures 9 inches high when on a teapot inches high, or 8 inches high to the top of the base. The top is 8 inches in diameter.

The unstretched base of the cozy measures 5 inches high by 9 inches wide at the base.. The tea cozy is quite stretchy.

There are 2 openings for the spout and handle of the teapot and has a yarn drawstring at the top for adjustment.

I have photographed it on a 6 cup white Brown Betty teapot.

The tea cozy or tea cosy is in excellent  used vintage condition with no stains, spots or pulls. 

It was suggested that tea cozies are also great at camouflaging less than perfect teapots that are too special to discard. They definitely keep the tea in the pot warmer longer.

And they are such a decorative as well as useful item for your tea table!
