This is a Birds or Lorna Doone chintz pattern English biscuit jar, biscuit barrel or cracker jar made by Midwinter, England in the 1930s.

The chintz features a lovely floral and bird design that is called Lorna Doone chintz or Birds chintz.

The art deco biscuit barrel is 5.5 inches high by 4.5 inches in diameter or 10 inches high with the handle and has chrome fittings, lid and bale.

The vintage English chintz biscuit jar is in very good +++ used vintage condition with no chips, cracks or wear, and only minor normal age crazing.
