English Tea Towel Hamble Village Hampshire Brown On White Village Landmarks 1970s

English vintage

SKU:
  • $ 1800

This is a wonderful brown and white Hamble-le-Rice, Hampshire, UK souvenir tea towel from the 1970s.

The linen tea towel, glass cloth or dish towel for Hamble, which is near Southampton, has no maker's marks, but was most likely made by a local business to represent the town.

The decorative tea towel measures 30 inches high by 18 inches wide and is in near excellent condition in an used condition and has never been washed, I don't think. Due to storage there is a small area of yellowing on one edge as seen in the photos. Very minor.

The landmarks on the tea towel are: The Village Tea Rooms And Malt Shop, Priory Church of St. Andrew, Hamble-Le-Rice, Copper Hill Terrace and Hamble Hard.

The tea towel, dish towel or glass cloth is a great UK souvenir of a very picturesque Hampshire village and a wonderfuuly decorative kitchen or tea table item.
