This is a antique English Isle Of Man knife rest of silver plate from the late Victorian or Edwardian era.
The EPNS silver plated knife rest has triangular figural ends in the form of the symbol of the Isle Of Man, three booted feet with spurs.
The knife rest measures 2 inches high by 3.5 inches long by 2 inches wide and were made in England 1890-1910, during the late Victorian or Edwardian eras.
The knife rest has an illegible maker's mark, EPNS and the number 1910. The knife rest ends are going in the opposite direction.
Knife rests were a neat Victorian dining table gadget to keep your tablecloth clean by holding up your knife.
This knife rest is in excellent used vintage condition. Lovely!
