Spoon Edwardian Georgian Kings Pattern Serving Spoon EPNS Shell Large Tablespoon 1900
SKU:
This is an antique table spoon, tablespoon or large dessert spoon in the Kings pattern designed in 1830 for George IV of England by John and Henry Lias.
This particular spoon is also from England but dates to the Edwardian period, 1900-1910s, and is made of EPNS, or electro plated nickel silver, a type of silver plate.
The Kings pattern table spoon measures 8.5 inches long and features a shell and acanthus pattern.
The maker is unknown, but the quality is high as the back of the spoon is decorated as well.
The spoon has some minor signs of use but no plate loss. A great example of a Georgian pattern that was also popular in the Edwardian era.
I currently have 3 left of these left from a set of 12 from an estate in England.
