Victorian Copy French Porcelain Pitcher Fancy Large 1890s Gold Tulips

Continental vintage

SKU:
  • $ 3800

This is a Victorian 1890s reproduction of a French pitcher, ewer or jug is a late Victorian reproduction, or in the style of, a pitcher by Porcelaine de Paris or Old Paris porcelain made by Marc Eugen Bloch in Paris, France 1868-1887 which era is usually also attributed to Limoges, France rather than Paris, but this was made in the 1890s.

The fancy molded decorative pitcher measures 7.5 inches high by 7 inches long by 5 inches in diameter.

The porcelain jug or ewer is hand painted with flowers, gold tulips and gold trim.

The jug, ewer or pitcher is in very good + used vintage condition with no chips, but does have the often seen kiln dust normal for this age of porcelain and very minor gold trim wear, and internal firing manufacturing firing cracks as shown.

The pitcher would still be a great decor item, but would weep from a firing crack below the handle, so would not do for use for liquids. But so decoarative!

So...TLC and love needed for a gorgeous but less than perfect Victorian item.
