Shelley Crested China Teapot Yeovil Coat Of Arms England Souvenir 1920s

Shelley China, England

SKU:
  • $ 9800

This is a vintage bone china teapot by Shelley China, England of souvenir crested china in the early Cambridge or Tulip shape dating to to 1912-1925.

The bone china teapot measures 4.5 inches high by 6.5 inches long and in 4.5 inches in diameter and has an unusual lid notch and opening rim horns to basically lock the lid and keep it from falling off, which are seldom found intact.

The teapot bears the shield or coat of arms of Yeovil which is located in the southwest of England, and is hand painted.

We stayed for a few days at an old inn/pub there called the Catash dating from the 17th century there once on one of our annual trips.

ANYWAY this teapot is in excellent used vintage condition with no chips or cracks and would be a great asset to a Shelley or crested china collection..
