This is an antique Victorian era German porcelain bowl with a pretty pattern of embossed  and hand painted pastel flowers made 1890-1900.

The bowl is just a titch less than 5 inches in diameter had has been hand painted with peach, blue and yellow on the flowers with further gold accents and trim. I would call this shabby chic.

It is such a pretty bowl and could be used for so many things, from holding teabags, to paper clips to rings to a candle.

There are no chips or cracks but there is quite a bit of gold wear. But it is so dainty and pretty.
