This is a gorgeous Gorham, USA sterling silver heavy hexagonal tea strainer to strain out the leaves as loose tea is poured from the teapot with an ebony wood handle.
There is a beaded rim and the hand engraved script initials monogram AMH.
The wonderful over the cup tea strainer dates to 1890-1910 by the mark.
The elegant tea gadget or accessory measures overall 8.75 inches long, the sterling strainer is 4 inches high by 3.5 inches wide and is 1.75 inches deep.
It is in wonderful used vintage condition with no dents or damage.
