This is a  vintage individual clear paneled glass open salt, salt dip or salt cellar with a star bottom from the 1950s.

The open salt measures 1 inch high by 2.5 in diameter. The pressed glass clear open salt was made in the USA and is in very good +++ used vintage condition.

Open salts are now used on the dining or tea table for sauces, teabag holders or even for their original use...salt! Also for rings or paper clips...very useful!
