This is a wonderful antique Edwardian era French Steel Cut beaded purse with the engraved mark Made In France on the gold plated molded brass frame.

The purse measures 8.75 inches from the top of the frame to the fringe ends and is 5.5 inches wide. The purse was made 1900-1910s is a fancy art deco design in cut steel, amber and champagne seed beads.

The chain of ridged curb links measures 16 inches long. There is a push button catch mechanism that is tight and works well. The interior silk lining has rotted. There is a metal closure coin purse sewn into the purse.

The only flaws are 1 tiny area of beads missing .25 inches in diameter, 5 beaded fringes missing and a bit of the twisted strands of gold beads on the front that attach the bag to the frame. The attaching beading is intact on the back. It is stored in a bag, and I will return any of the tiny beads that I have with the purse for restoration.

It is a beautiful bag, and these are difficult to find now.
