This is a beautiful pair of Radnor, Staffordshire England bone china Staffordshire Posy candle holders that are hand made bouquets of flowers in pink leaf shape dishes with a central holder for a normal wax taper candle in each.

The floral candleholders were made in the 1940s by Radnor China of Staffordshire, England and features a yellow carnation-type flower, a pale pink rose and a blue anemone or poppy type flower with green leaves and each measure 2 inches high by 5 inches long by 4 inches wide.

We watched craftsman making these at the factory workrooms in Stoke On Trent  and were amazed at the skill and time it took to make each part of these arrangements by hand from a lump of clay.

The workrooms have all closed now and this is a dying art. Beautiful! This pair of Staffordshire posy candle holders are in in very good +++ condition with no chips, cracks or restorations to the flowers which is rare, but I have just spotted a crack across the tip of one leaf shape dish which was made during the manufacturing process and does not go all the way through.
