Salad Plate Occupied Japan Fuji Rosette 7.5 Inches Lovely Pink Rose 1945-1952

Occupied Japan

SKU:
  • $ 1400

This is a pretty rose themed salad plate made in Occupied Japan by the Fuji China company in the pattern Rosette. The trio was made between 1940-1950s measuring 7.5 inches in diameter.

The plate is marked Occupied Japan. Because some of the other parts of the dinner set we acquired from an estate were marked Occupied Japan but some were not, but all are the same name and pattern I assume this was a transitional set and made either just before the war with the set completed during occupation, or made during the occupation but the dish set finished when the mark had changed back to Japan after the occupation.

Occupied Japan marks were used from 1945-1952.

In very good +++ used vintage condition with virtually no wear. Very pretty.
