This jug lacy, jar, jug, cup or pitcher cover is hand crocheted cotton with colored glass beads worked in.

The 6.5 inch in diameter jug cover is to cover a jug, pitcher or bowl to keep flies out, a typical and practical Victorian idea. 

It could also be used as a doily on a table. It is really quite attractive.

This is English made and bought in the Cotswold town of Broadway in the 1970s. 

It makes a great decorative piece and is a great conversation starter too!
