This is a Shelley China, England bone china master open salt, salt dip or small decorative bowl in a Crested China style made 1912-1925 in the Ludlow shape.
The reeded side small bowl measures 1 inch high by 3 inches in diameter and has the high relief hand painted on transfer crest of the Fitzwilliams Family In Mablethorpe Church, and the open salt was made for W. Dale as a special order.
Mablethorpe is an eastern English seaside resort in Lincolnshire.
The small crested ware bowl or open salt is in excellent used vintage condition and a wonderful piece for Shelley collectors or collectors of Crested ware china souvenir ware with so many decorative uses.
Not many Shelley open salts were made, so this is a special find!
